Vineyards: Pyrgos, Megalochori and Akrotiri.
Vinification: Over matured grapes, sun-dried for 12-15 days. Crushing of the sun-dried grapes. Clarification and fermentation of the concentrated grape must with selected yeasts for 2 months in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature 20 – 22 °C.
Maturation: In French oak barrels for 10 years.
Organoleptic characteristics: Deep red colour. Intense aromas of red forest fruits jam and butter caramel. Viscous texture on the palate with long aftertaste of plums and prunes.
Serving suggestion: As a dessert wine or served with chocolate puddings, fruit tarts and blue cheese.
Suggested serving temperature: at 12-14°C.
It can be aged for more than 20 years.
